Light Projects was a project and exhibition space for emerging and established professional artists from Australia and abroad. The large window frontage of the gallery allowed for twenty-four hour viewing of works. As a project space, our emphasis lay with developing ideas and experimental approaches. The curatorial outlook of the space favoured research-based investigation, and the space had a focus on practices that are informed by psychoanalytic and/or phenomenological theory. Essays were commissioned to accompany most exhibitions, and are available on this website.
